Dietary

Madelyne Beckles will be taking care of all things nourishment. We are so lucky! We also have the opportunity to eat locally grown produce, neighbour-raised eggs, pork, venison from the land, and fresh-caught salmon. Please share any dietary considerations with us so we can accommodate everyone’s comfort.

Most of our time will be spent on 83 acres of forested land on the Georgian Bay side of the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula. The Niagara Escarpment runs through the property and we share space with unique flora + fauna including old growth cedars, mixed maples, pines, orchids, ferns, a variety of mosses, white-tailed deer, bears, hawks, coyotes, eagles, snakes, frogs. As humans, we co-exist.

As a camper, you’ll have access to set-up wherever feels intuitive. There are many sites to choose from. Some are deep in the bush, some are closer to the living space, dining zone, programming meeting point, and outhouse. If you’re camping far from the house please have experience with back-country camping for everyone’s sake (ex. no food in tent, pack in-pack out). We’ll be here to welcome you Thursday afternoon/eve and setup for the weekend. If you prefer a car-camp vibe, option to set-up closer to the house remains.
