A glandular exploration supported by time + space to orient ourselves from Summer Solstice to Lion’s Gate Portal. This offering is part live, part self-guided, and a whole lot of ~secretion~ which is truly the magic of our practice. Why the endocrine system? It’s made up of glands that make hormones - the body's chemical messengers that carry information and instructions from one set of cells to another influencing almost every cell, organ, and function of our bodies. When the glands are secreting our body flows with vitality. Instead of approaching this in a medical way, we’ll explore these parts as though we were magicians because this work is all chemical//it’s alchemical. We’ll meet every Monday morning for 7 weeks to delve into a practice for a particular gland - considered the guardians of health - as part of our exploration of the endocrine system.
Every week we’ll *control* the breath using active pranayam and mantra; we’ll *alternate* between dynamic movement sets from the Kundalini and Katonah yoga lineages informed by Pilates; and we’ll encourage the glands to *secrete* by way of technique. We’ll meet in Zoom-land for a live 45 min practice at 7am EST on Monday mornings. These classes will be recorded should time-zone or life-zone keep you from joining. The recordings will serve as your guide for the in-between days to visit as much or as little as you’d like.
Content will be housed in a website portal and available for your reference for several months including 15 minute quickie classes for each gland.
